Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actor, is well-known for her roles in film and television since the late 1980s. The actress has won numerous accolades such as the Golden Globe Award as well as 16 NAACP Image Awards. Her work has earned her recognition for her TV and film performance since the 1980s. The awards she has won include two Golden Globe Awards, sixteen NAACP Image Awards as well as nominations for Academy Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett originates from New York New York. She was raised at Winston-Salem North Carolina. As Bassett was around five She and her sister were moved to St. Petersburg, Florida to stay with their mother, who was separated from their father. Bassett was a fan of James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play as she was still in high school, and realised that acting is what she wanted to do. She went to Yale University New Haven Connecticut and graduated with a bachelor's degree (1980) on African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. While at Yale she met Courtney B. Vance a co-actor and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies in 1980, Master of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grades) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her main parts, Ramonda, in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
